A luxury SUV is a great way to get around Fort Worth, Arlington, and Grand Prairie, TX. With lots of refined style and comfortable space for passengers and cargo, an SUV is an ideal choice for running errands around town.

Which one of today's top luxury SUVs offers everything you're looking for? Audi Fort Worth finds out for you, with this 2022 Audi Q7 vs. BMW X5 comparison.

Audi Q7 vs. BMW X5: Passenger Space

When you first step into the 2022 Audi Q7, you'll be greeted by luxury, with fine leather seats and timeless wood inlays along the doors and the dashboard. This full-size SUV is refined but also comfortable.

With three rows of seats, there's room for up to seven people. For the driver and the front passenger, there's a comfortable 39.9 inches of front headroom and 41.7 inches of front legroom. Moving back, there's room for three passengers in the middle row, with 38.8 inches of legroom to enjoy. There's also two seats in the third row, with 29.2 inches of legroom.

The interior of the 2022 BMW X5 is a much different setup. Without a standard third row of seats, it's made for only five people. Plus, the second-row passengers are in for a tighter ride, with a few less inches of legroom.

Audi Q7 vs. BMW X5: Cargo Room

While the 2022 Audi Q7 can transport more of your friends and family, it also makes carrying your cargo more convenient too. There's 14.2 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk. This can be easily increased to 35.7 cubic feet, though, with the power split-folding 50/50 third-row seatbacks. This gives you lots of space to load up and still have plenty of room for five people.

If you've got more to pack, there's the split tumble-folding 35/30/35 second-row seatbacks. With both rows folded, there's a total cargo volume of 69.9 feet of space.

The 2022 BMW X5 features 72.3 total cubic feet of cargo space. Its rear seats fold down as well. To carry as much as the Audi Q7, you'd only have room for two people.

Meanwhile, the Audi Q7 can seat up to five people, while still providing 35.7 cubic feet of cargo space.

Audi Q7 vs. BMW X5: Infotainment & Tech

The 2022 Audi Q7 keeps you informed in three different areas. On the dashboard, there's a 10.1-inch MMI® touch response infotainment system. Plus, you'll have a secondary 8.6-inch touchscreen to manage the climate controls. You can use handwriting commands to control the heated seats, the multiple climate zones, and more.

Moving over to the instrument cluster, instead of the traditional gauges in front of the steering wheel, you'll find a 12.3-inch screen that serves as your Audi virtual cockpit. This customizable display is equipped with Google Earth™ and 3D maps and can switch between Classic Mode and Infotainment Mode. Above that, a futuristic-looking head-up display is available. It projects information about your drive, such as fuel economy and speed, onto your windshield.

The 2022 BMW X5 also features a dashboard-mounted infotainment system and has an available head-up display. However, its instrument cluster doesn't have the same capability as the Audi virtual cockpit, which uses Google Earth™ imagery to help you get where you want to go. Plus, you'll have just one touchscreen in the center stack.
